Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary

The Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary is an ongoing project between Pendulum and Hollis + Miller.

PROJECT TIMELINE

The project is ongoing and has reached 100% CD since my time at Pendulum.

PROJECT RESPONSIBILITIES

I became involved in the Kansas City Public schools project during Schematic design and worked on the project until 80% CD set. My roles included marketing renderings, technical documentation, designing the community kitchen, open media/flex space, and reception area in collaboration with Isabela Gorgati. I also developed enlarged plans, finish floor plan, interior elevations, casework details, room finish schedule, and coordination of master format keynote system with Hollis + Miller Interiors.

LESSONS LEARNED

King Elementary was my first exposure to large scale coordination while at Pendulum and my first opportunity to choose products from manufacturers and utilize master format throughout the project. This was an excellent learning experience and was a great introduction to coordinating materials and finish schedules in the family empowerment center.
